It was revealed earlier this week by Jurassic World 3’s director, Colin Trevorrow, that Sam Neil, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum will be reprising their iconic roles as Alan Grant, Ellie Sattler and Ian Malcolm with plenty of on-screen time.
Since the first Jurassic Park in 1993, the original cast have featured in small cameos with Dern appearing in Jurassic Park III and Goldblum having a small feature in the Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. As well though Neil was a lead character in Lost World and Goldblum in III so you’d think they would have had plenty of dinosaur adventures… But I guess they’re the experts!
The movie is yet to reveal its plot, but *spoiler* the events of Fallen Kingdom showed dinosaurs being released into the wild and it is expected to see how humans are coping in this neo-new age life coexisting with the creatures. Jurassic World 3 will also see the return of Bryce Dallas Howard and Chris Pratt reprising their titular roles in the World series.
The movie is set to hit cinemas 11th June 2021 and I really hope it is a success. Maybe we’re just too many dinosaur films in, but the World movies have not gripped me like the masterful original. I wish *spoiler* we had seen more action in the fight between the raptors, because as soon as the fight started, it was over.
Are you excited for another Jurassic World film? Can the original actors save the franchise?
🤔did you mean the original cast as an ensemble? Goldblum was fairly central in The Lost World and Neil again was a main character in JP3?
Looking forward to seeing them return, just hope it’s not a Last Jedi mechanic of killing them all off to elevate Pratt and Howard.
