Three titans of entertainment: Warner Bros, DC and Nickelodeon will be teaming up to bring ‘Batman vs. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ which is rumoured to be released in the spring and will be the first time the two franchises have crossed-paths in an animated movie.
The two sets of popular comic characters will be teaming up together after the turtles have a ‘transdimensional encounter’ with the Caped Crusader. They will assist Batman in taking on a long list of some of his most notable enemies including The Joker.
The two teams have previously met in the mini series by James Tynion IV and Freddie Williams II. It is believed that these comics will play as an influence to the writing of the movie.
The voice acting list for the roles has many recognisable names in the world of voice work and are as forth:
Troy Baker (Batman: Arkham Origins) as both Batman and The Joker, Darren Criss (The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story) as Raphael, Kyle Mooney (Saturday Night Live) as Michelangelo, Baron Vaughn (Grace and Frankie) as Donatello, Eric Bauza (The Woody Woodpecker Show) as Leonardo, Rachel Bloom (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend) as Batgirl, Tom Kenny (SpongeBob SquarePants, Rocko’s Modern Life) as Penguin, John DiMaggio (Futurama) as Mr. Freeze, Tara Strong (Batman: The Animated Series, Rugrats) as both Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy, Carlos Alazragui (Reno 911!) as Bane, and Cas Anvar (The Expanse) as Ra’s al Ghul.
The movie will be a home video release on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K UHD later this year.
